Tata Motors's Nano, the world's cheapest car which is ready to hit Indian roads later this year, have planned to produce an Electric Nano (E-Nano), according to a German press report. The E-Nano would be built in cooperation with the Norwegian electric car specialist firm Miljoebil Grenland, the sources said.
Dear Solsken: Perhaps they have already working on E-Nano secretly. The E-Nano battery can be scaled down a bit to make it more economical for its small size... perhaps it may become a big seller given small cars in Europe are fared better... so all the race is on for every carmaker to market some sort of EVs or PHEVs to Europe! If E-Nano is good, it has a good chance to become a big hit... of course the margin is smaller... first thing first... E-Indica it is... we'll see the response in Norway in a year or so!
