I'm not sure I agree with your assesment of the Phoenix deal PM. It seems to me that the issue has been the Altair battery, not the Phoenix components. Even Altair seems to have accepted that, based on their acceptance of the issue as covered under their warranty program.

Of course that's just my opinion.
