Funkey,

Latest thing was ICG stepped in to break up the proxy fight initiated by Columbus Gold with its investment of 9.9% conditioned on a few things including its own slate of director. This seemed to calm Robert Giustra down... so he withdrew his slate of directors. ICG's proposal has ER board's blessing, hence Dr. Don is out (he and his wife has been collecting enough salaries during the last 2 decades. Time to go with poor performance records, e.g. Eau Claire, which is an excellent deposit, has not advanced to the next level after so many years, mainly due to his focus on for exploration work...There seemed to be no desire (or skills?) for development leading to production. Some people are just like that, they were born that way.

Chairman Lauris Curtis is now in charge during the interim.

Currently, Goldcorp still has its stake in ER with 7.5%, you said? So, presumably ICG's proposal with 9.9% now, and a max of 15% later (with wts exercise, etc...) has G's blessing. It's interesting to note that there are quite a few heavy weights in ICG's proposed slate of directors that had previous experiennce with G.

Something is cooking.

GH
