VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - April 28, 2010) - Eagle Hill Exploration Corporation (TSX VENTURE:EAG) is pleased to report the final results of its initial drilling program at the Windfall lake gold property in north-western Quebec. The objective of this drill program was to build on the hypothesis that the Windfall lake property not only carries high grade gold veins but that these high grade gold veins are located within wide mineralized zones with underground and near-surface bulk mining potential. Results from this initial drilling program confirm this hypothesis but also provided Eagle Hill with new discoveries that should lead to added value for its shareholders. An additional 15,000 meters of drilling is planned to start in June 2010.

'These results have far exceeded the Company's objectives," stated Brad Kitchen, President and C.E.O. of Eagle Hill. "Not only did we receive fantastic new results like EAG-10-196 with its gold mineralization of over 14.51 g/t over 52 meters (see news release dated March 10, 2010) but we also discovered three completely new gold mineralized sectors, expanded the existing gold mineralized zone, opened-up some open pit mining potential and discovered new gold mineralization over 900 meters on strike from our existing gold zones."

1. Three New Mineralized Sectors:

Three new intersections of wide gold mineralization were discovered in the course of the drill program, all of which have underground bulk mining potential. The next phase of drilling will attempt to expand on these new mineralized sectors.

  • SECTOR 1 was intersected by drill hole EAG-10-217 at 826 meters down the hole. The new mineralized intercept assayed 2.12 g/t Au over 15 meters. The new sector is open in all directions.
  • SECTOR 2 was also intersected by drill hole EAG-10-217 at a shallower depth of 387 meters down the hole. The new mineralized intercept assayed 1.03 g/t Au over 17.0 meters and the sector is also open in all directions.
  • SECTOR 3 was intersected by drill hole EAG-10-205 at 239.35 meters down the hole. The new mineralized intercept assayed 1.79 g/t Au over 9.6 meters. This new sector is located above and to the east of the intersection of drill hole EAG-10-196, and remains open to the southwest.

The best assay results are listed in the table under Next Steps below.

2. Extension of Existing Gold Mineralized Zone

As reported in a press release dated March 10, 2010, the existing gold mineralized zone was initially extended 46 meters to the west with drill hole EAG-10-196 (52 meters of 14.51 g/t Au uncut; 3.42 g/t Au cut). The gold mineralization is hosted by a much larger zone of pyrite stockwork in a highly silicified and sericitized rhyolite. Two additional drill holes further extended this mineralized zone by meters. The drill holes appear to have intersected lower-grade material within the same wide mineralized zone of pyritic stockwork. Drill hole EAG-10-209 intersected 26 m @ 0.76 g/t Au while drill hole EAG-10-213 intersected 24 m @ 0.42 g/t Au. The holes were drilled 25 meters and 100 meters respectively, west of drill hole EAG-10-196.

3. Near Surface Mineralization

During its initial compilation and modeling phase of exploration work, Eagle Hill outlined a large, near surface area of the Windfall gold deposit that may become amenable to near-surface bulk mining. The zone was outlined by the following historical results:

    • 14.0 m @ 4.11 g/t Au in NOT-07-163 starting at 30 meters vertical.
    • 51.0 m @ 1.22 g/t Au in NOT-06-86 starting at 100 meters vertical.
    • 21.5 m @ 0.99 g/t Au in NOT-04-38 starting at 80 meters vertical.
    • 26.6 m @ 0.67 g/t Au in NOT-04-36 starting at 100 meters vertical.
    • 25.0 m @ 1.34 g/t Au in ATO-98-11R starting at 100 meters vertical.
    • 10.0 m @ 0.54 g/t Au in EAG-10-203 starting at 60 meters vertical.
    • 20.0 m @ 0.60 g/t Au in EAG-10-203 starting at 80 meters vertical.
    • 12.0 m @ 0.63 g/t Au in EAG-10-217 starting at 50 meters vertical.
  • Three new mineralized intercepts significantly increased the near surface potential of the area with the following assays:

4. Added Potential at the Property-Scale

Four exploration drill holes tested the fringes of a 650m-long IP anomaly located more than 900 meters west of the known gold zones at Windfall Lake. Drill holes EHX-10-212 and EHX-10-225 confirmed the presence of gold mineralization at that locality with respective intersections of 3.39 g/t Au over 2.40 meters and 2.10 g/t Au over 0.40 meters. The mineralization intersected in this sector is similar to the Windfall Lake gold zone, with up to 30% pyrite stringers in a sericitized rhyolite, with local chalcopyrite and tourmaline. The central portion of the anomaly could not be drill-tested due to poor ice conditions at the end of the winter.

Deep penetrating IP and EM geophysical surveys will be carried-out, in the next phase of exploration to better correlate this new mineralized area with the known gold deposit at Windfall Lake.

5. Other values

In addition to results that tend to confirm the potential for bulk mining over large mineralized areas, the Company continues to encounter very significant high grade gold values. New high-grade values include:

    • 508 g/t Au over 0.25 m in EAG-10-199
    • 24.2 g/t Au over 0.3 m in EAG-10-205
    • 10.4 g/t Au over 1.0 m in EAG-10-209
    • 8.68 g/t Au over 1.0 m in EAG-10-224

A map detailing the location of all the material holes of this most recent drilling program, along with assay results will soon be available on the Company's website at www.eaglehillexploration.com.

Next Steps

During the months of May and June 2010, Eagle Hill will conduct deep-penetrating EM and IP geophysical surveys at Windfall along with Borehole Pulse EM surveys to better determine the extent of the large pyrite stringer zone which hosts the gold mineralization. All data will be systematically incorporated into the current 3D model of the gold mineralization at Windfall which includes all information from Eagle Hill's first drill program and new assay results from previously drilled but untested core and historic information. This model should be finalized in the first week of June. The Company intends to start a second phase drill program of 15,000 meters, in early to mid June 2010. This second phase of drilling will be aimed at better defining the extent of the new and historical gold zones at Windfall with tighter grid-spacing.

Gold analyses reported in this release were performed by standard fire assay using a 30g charge with Atomic Absorption finish and a gravimetric finish for assays greater than 10 g/t. Samples containing visible gold or suspected to contain coarse gold are assayed using metallic sieve method. All assays were performed by ALS Chemex Laboratory Group, in Val D'Or, Qc. Sampling and analytical procedures are subject to a comprehensive Quality Assurance and Quality Control program. The QA-QC program includes duplicate samples, blanks and analytical standards.
