Allow me to add to the wash trading. Traders also do this with two different accounts via their own trading platform.

What it boils down to is buying into the ask, increasing the sp and then selling the shares to yourself into the other account. IMHO this is done to clear an account and increase its $$$ holdings in order to purchase another play. The down side is that the account used to buy is now holding high. This is done on low or no volume of course.
