MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - March 16, 2010) - Stellar Pacific Ventures Inc. (TSX VENTURE:SPX)("Stellar" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the beginning of geophysical and geological evaluation of the Lake Urban property located in Urban Township, 100 km East of the Town of Lebel Sur Quevillon, Quebec. This program will be followed up with a plan to drill the best targets in spring 2010.

The Lake Urban property is composed of 58 claims covering an area of 928 hectares and is adjacent to the EAGLE HILL RESOURCES INC. WINDFALL PROPERTY from which a new gold drill intersection of 19.61 g/t Au over 33 metres was announced on March 10, 2010.

The Lake Urban property is located in the Urban-Barry Volcanic belt where six gold occurrences were outlined within a radius of 25 km, namely, the Lac Rouleau occurrence (544,000t @ 7.0 g/t Au), the Barry occurrence (610,000 t @ 8.55 g/t Au), and the Nubar occurrence (564,000 t @ 6.2 g/t Au).

In December 2008 Stellar Pacific had mandated MM. Benoit M. Violette, P. Geo. and Alain Calame, P. Geo. to produce an NI 43-101 compliant Report on the potential of the Property and to recommend a work program. A magnetic survey covering the entire property outlined some strong E/W and NE/SW magnetic trends that could be the signature of similar structures to those observed at nearby Lake Rouleau and Windfall. Considering the gold mineralisation observed in most of the structures in the immediate area namely the Rouleau, Barry, Windfall and Nubar, it is important to follow up on those occurrences. Consequently, and according to the growing interest in this area, the company will undertake a substantial work program in order to define drill targets to be tested in spring 2010.
