Duran Ventures to Commence Deep IP-MAG Geophysical Survey at Pasacancha and Aguila in Peru

Duran Ventures Inc. (TSX VENTURE:DRV) is pleased to announce that the Company has signed a services contract with VDG del Peru S.A.C. (Val D'Or Geofisica) for a deep induced polarization, resistivity and magnetic survey, mobilizing the week of September 18. The survey is planned to cover most of the Halcon and Pasacancha 1 concessions with the objective to further define and expand the known mineralized porphyry bodies at depth. The survey will greatly aid in the interpretation of the subsurface geology, which may lead to the discovery of additional porphyry copper style mineralization. The Company is pleased to have Val D'Or Geofisica involved in this phase of the exploration program, as they have a long and successful track record in Peru.

Previous fieldwork and drilling indicate that there are several additional porphyry-style targets in what is emerging as an important mineralized district. While most technical work and drilling to date has focused on the immediate area of the Aguila Main intrusive and open pit area, the Company has strong indications of significant porphyry copper mineralization in the Aguila East where a large cluster of intrusive outcrops are exposed over a significant area.

Furthermore, outcrops in the Aguila West, and the Aguila Northwest areas show many occurrences of copper and molybdenum-mineralized sedimentary rocks with no obvious nearby intrusive source. Duran's geologists believe that considerable potential exists to tie several of these mineralized areas together to increase the overall size of the Aguila Porphyry Target. The geophysical program will also aid the technical team in determining the relationship between the Pasacancha silver-lead-zinc target and Aguila Porphyry.

Field crews have been mobilized to continue with field mapping and sampling programs, to be carried out simultaneously with the geophysical survey, which together will help the Company to define additional drill targets.
