Even through this recession, copper is needed. The recession will slow down the depletion of current copper inventory and the rate of depletion of existing mines, but will not extinguish it. Therefore, the real question to ask is when will the world be buying an increasing amount of copper and when will this translate to an increased need to open new deposits?
