Donner Metals (TSX.V: DON) news release today “Bracemac-McLeod Continues On Target” includes the “to-do” list of mine development and how much has been accomplished. You can see exactly what has been completed, and what is already underway at the new Bracemac-McLeod zinc/copper mine in Quebec, Donner’s joint venture with partner Xstrata Zinc. New production is scheduled for Q1 2013, and there have been regular reports of how on time and on budget they are. Not only that, as well as some development is a year ahead of schedule, like the McLeod Deep area, which holds the best potential for mine expansion.

It is so rare for a junior exploration company to go all the way into production with a senior partner like Xstrata – and do it on time and on budget. As I said in my client update yesterday, is that the hope is as more and more people realize it has moved from explorer to soon to be producer, it shall witness a re-rating of the stock and a marked increase in shareholder value. Keeping costs in check and staying on schedule exceeds expectations – well done and the exception to the rule in mining and exploration.
