Targeting Canada's Next Diamond Mine
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - March 12, 2008) - Diamonds North Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:DDN) announces diamond results from a portion of drill core collected from the Char kimberlite on its 100% owned Amaruk property in the Pelly Bay Diamond District of Nunavut. The diamond results for the Char kimberlite are shown in the table below. In addition, the diamond results for the remaining Tuktu kimberlite discoveries have been received and will be released March 13th, 2008.

Approximately 200 additional kilograms of core from Char have been submitted for further processing. This will provide routine information on the quality of the laboratory procedures and the results described above.
To date, 22 kimberlites have been discovered on the property. At least five of the released kimberlites discovered in 2007 require a core drill sample to further evaluate their economic potential. Diamond results have been reported for 14 of the kimberlites with more than 85% being diamondiferous and over 50% exhibiting encouraging diamond counts that require follow-up exploration. With 500 geophysical targets to be tested on a property with an abundance of compelling diamond indicator minerals, Amaruk is one of Canada's most prospective diamond projects.
The drill core was logged in secure facilities at the Amaruk field camp by geoscientists. Samples were securely sealed in solid containers and shipped to Saskatchewan Research Council (SRC) in Saskatoon for processing. The results presented in this news release were obtained by SRC using their standard caustic fusion diamond recovery method. SRC is accredited by the Standards Council of Canada to the ISO/IEC Guide 25 standard for specific registered tests. As part of an ongoing Quality Control & Quality Assurance program, Diamonds North will conduct reviews and audits of results.
Bruce Kienlen (P.Geol) and Graham Gill (P. Geo) are Diamonds North's qualified persons reviewing these projects. They are responsible for the design and conduct of the exploration programs and the verification and quality assurance of analytical results.
Diamonds North Resources is focused on discovering Canada's next diamond mine. The Company is rapidly evolving and committed to building long-term value through ongoing diamond discoveries.
