Dia Bras Provides Clarification

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Jan. 14, 2009) - Dia Bras Exploration Inc. (TSX VENTURE:DIB), the Company is issuing the following clarification with respect to its previous press release issued on January 12th regarding the construction of a mill at the Bolivar Mine, in the State of Chihuahua, Mexico. The technical content of this previous press release was approved by Dr. Thomas L. Robyn, Chairman for Dia Bras, a Qualified Person as defined in NI43-101.

In late 2007, Dia Bras completed a preliminary economic assessment study, with the objective of building a mill on site at the Bolivar Mine. The report, dated November 9th, 2007, and prepared by Yann Camus, P.Eng. Geo., of SGS Geostat International, independent Qualified Person under NI 43-101 standards was filed on SEDAR.

This preliminary economic analysis has not been updated. The costs and projections disclosed in the January 12th press release were prepared internally by management. There is no certainty the proposed operations will be economically viable.
