I think some here are on a false debate about Dakshidin's potential commercial success.

The Restec MK10E does not compete with giant, large or even medium sized windmills .

There are many types of windmills on the market today ranging from 1kw/h to power up cell phones on a boat to up to 5MW/h with 170 feet span blades to electrify major city power grids.

In fact, the MK10E would fall in the 50KW/h category, which is enough to power up about 8 to 12 homes in the USA, 10 to 15 homes in Europe and up to 40 to 50 homes in any low tech village in developing countries.

Now ,on account of cost, one should know that to install and produce 1MW/h of electricity,it costs about 1.5 to 2 million USD and that the site selection needs a lot of open spaces and a fairly constant supply of average high winds in order to amortize the initial cost.

The infrastructure, manpower and equipment needed to erect such medium to large windmills is complex and time consuming.

On the other hand, the Restec MK10 is a low tech device .It does not need much manpower to install or a heavy infrastructure and furthermore,it can be installed just about anywhere on this planet due to its high performances in low winds.

So, as I paraphrase myself again,we have the JEEP version of all windmills : versatile, rugged, low cost, low maintenance and most of all can be manufactured very fast .

Under the reservation of the tests which will be done in the windfarm in the Wuhu green village this summer, I can confidently say that I welcome the competition in this segment of the windmill market because the MK10E efficiency vs cost factor will be very hard to beat indeed.
