With respect to gold, I think the next "big" discoveries are going to be found in Russia and China. The leaders of these countries are beginning to realize that the "old ways" of economic and state management are archaic.

As they let more foreign specialists into their countries, more exploring will find more of the stuff the world wants or needs.

Compare Goldcorp to Kinross. G has some very good operations in Canada, but the big deposits are not being found here anymore. K is involved with some of the world's largest new deposits in Russia and South America, but the political stability is questionable.

For us as investors, we need to balance our risk versus reward. I think most of us hold a mix of major and junior gold producers along with some explorers.

Hopefully something like CYP or KXL is our successful roll of the dice!
