Yes I agree it would have been great if the crew had not taken time of for x-mas and new years for a break. It also would have been great if they could start up upon returning but in reality.. that is not what is normal..

Had you ever operated heavy equipment ( Diesel Powered>in winter you would realize there is nothing like starting a diesel engine after it has sat idle for a couple of weeks in winter.

And then consider that we are in the bush and not in a warm and comfortable garage.

Unfortunately this is reality... so... be patient.

Middle of February might also be more in time frame.
