Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi has accepted Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez's proposal for a mediated solution to the crisis in Libya, news network Al Jazeera reported Thursday, citing reports from Venezuela.
The Arab League has also agreed to the proposal, Al Jazeera said.
Chavez had earlier spoken with Gadhafi and discussed creating a multinational commission to mediate the unrest in Libya, according to an Internet message posted Wednesday by a Venezuela government spokesman, Andres Izarra.
