i almost took a short position (via ETF) on oil a couple weeks ago...real glad i did'nt!...i think eventially it will drop but to be honest it was the ETF itself that scared me, not the oil position...

i'm gonna avoid the ETF's for awhile, i get the feeling there might be some suprises with litigation/regulation/liquidity coming up....

the sad part is that an ETF seems like a good way for a small fry to play a commodity but when you start seeing the bull/bear etf's BOTH going up or BOTH going down at the same time you know there's something wrong with the system....

gw's article about london gold delivery got me thinking that's probably gonna be the next "hunt brothers" type manipulation....let somebody pool a few billion into gold futures then ask for physical delivery on the right market at the right time and when the market can't deliver.....

that's how you get $5000 gold overnight (it may not last long, but it does'nt have to.)
