jc, thanks for the info. i can remember (as a kid) when the first condo in marina del ray sold for $250k and everyone was screaming "thats insane, who'd spend a 1/4 mil for a condo, you'll never see that again"

no doubt calif is doing it again. has orange county filed BK (again) yet? all those poor folks in orange county seem to go BK every 20 years or so...

people always seem to forget the law of "buy low and sell high"

locally, we have about 15k foreclosures going to hit the market in the next few months but it does'nt seem to be slowing folks down at all here....the one thing you really have to watch out for right now at auction is "chinese drywall", that can cost you a fortune...
