Warning issued on
deodorant powder
MARIGOT--The Health Department DSDS has cautioned the public not to buy or use AMMENS medicated deodorant powder.
The product is in a batch that originates from Venezuela and Jamaica and contains boric acid. It is banned in French territories, as use of the product can cause toxic reactions in young children and infants, and skin, digestive, and hypothermic problems in the elderly.
Shopkeepers, distributors and pharmacies are advised that the product must be withdrawn from all points of sale. The public is advised not to use the product if they have it in their possession.
