A stranger came into the village one day and announced that he would pay $5.00 for every monkey that the villagers caught. So the villagers went out and caught many monkeys and brought them to the stranger who paid the villagers and placed the monkeys in his cage. This continued for some time until fewer and fewer monkeys could be found at which point the stanger told the villagers that he would up the payment to $10.00 per monkey. So the villagers redoubled their efforts and went out and caught even more monkeys until again they became very scarce and the catch dwindled. Then the stranger announced that he would pay $50.00 for every monkey that the villagers brought to him. So the villagers went out and tried desperately to find the few monkeys that still remained in their jungle. The stranger then announced that he had to leave the village for a few days but that his assistant would remain behind and would continue to pay the villagers $50.00 for every monkey they brought in.
After the stranger left, the assistant called the villagers together and told them he had a plan. He offered to sell them all the monkeys in the cage for only $25.00 a piece. He said that he would tell the stranger that the monkeys had escaped and the villagers would profit handsomely by selling all the monkeys back to the stranger for $50.00 each.
So the villagers gathered all of their savings, mortgaged their houses and borrowed evrrything they could to buy the caged monkeys from the assistant.
But of course the assistant then disappeared and the stranger never came back.
This my friends is how the stock market works and right now shares of KRY look alot like monkeys.
