SNC-Lavalin ProFac Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of engineering giant SNC-Lavalin, says it has won a five-year contract to provide cleaning, groundskeeping and maintenance services to the Bank of Montreal's 970 branches across Canada.

Financial terms of the contract with the bank, also known as BMO Financial Group, were not revealed.

"We are excited to be working with BMO Financial Group on this project, and believe that rationalizing the facility management services to one service provider will help ensure consistent service and maintenance levels for all 970 branches across the country," Charlie Rate, president of SNC-Lavalin (TSX: SNC) ProFac, said today.

The contract will see SNC-Lavalin ProFac take over delivery of building systems maintenance, grounds keeping, and housekeeping, among other services.

SNC-Lavalin is one of the biggest engineering and construction groups in the world and a major player in the ownership of infrastructure and provision of operations and maintenance services.

In trading today on the TSX, SNC shares rose 21 cents to $43.33.
