Statistics for pitchers are always unpredictable. Especially fast-ballers. All of a sudden they are good (Ryan). Although strength (which is what those drugs supposedly enhance) that goes along with pitch speed plays a big role, pitching has a lot more to do with placement and thinking. If Clemens pitch speed were to go from the high 80's to high 90's, then I would say he was enhanced. But Clemens always could bring it. Before the time of the drugs. Hitters, hitting more homers might be an indication. Not so sure that batting average would be as that is a hand-eye coordination thing. Thing that gets me is Bonds. That guy is such a natural talent. He always could hit. Bonds homer output probably did not get a big improvement because of his natural ability. Not like someone else with much lesser ability might achieve when juiced. I am a big baseball fan. I like to give all these guys the benefit of the doubt, even with all of the evidence. But it sure looks like a lot of 'em are (maybe still are) doing it.
