whatever your political affiliations/beliefs you have to admit that some big changes and tough decisions will have to made by our next president....personally (the last 15yrs or so) i've been leaning toward the "off suit" runner (this started with Perot) but this time around i'm thinking whoever you vote for better have some serious political ties if they are going to have any chance of getting things done. an independant or "new blood" candidate may have the right ideas as to what needs to be done but i think you'd end up with a "jimmy carter" scenario....the guy would have all the good intentions but no political juice to carry them out..the big problem i think america is having is with the seperation of church and state...if your big issue is say abortion, then go to the supreme court or change the majority of americans feelings about the issue but dont vote for a president just because he says he's against it...he cant do anything about it.... As much as it pains me to say it, at this point i'll probably vote one of two ways.
1. vote for an independant runner (even though i know he has no chance of winning) just to show the forces that be that i'm pissed off and they need to get things turned around.
2. (cant believe i'm saying this but) Hillary....she's the only one i see that has the political clout to get things done.....
3. the republicans could run george washington himself and i would'nt vote for them this time around.....
