Yes Maduro has to go but as long as he has the guns he will not be going anywhere.
The military will dictate (dictatorship) what will happen to Vz now and in the future. It is their own skin (military leaders) that is at risk literally. If the masses get a hold of these people they will be hanging from lampposts like Moussolini.
The military leaders have Billions of dollars stashed away in banks all over the place. Truely their lives are at risk so will continue to enforce support of the current leadership at all costs, desperately. Maduro is throwing momey at them to save his own skin. He is cornered. . Maduro is nothing more than a figurehead anymore helped along with Cuban strategists. Even deathly protests will not help. It was tried resulting in 126 dead and failed.
Here are some new names: "... sanctions announced by the US Treasury Department against Venezuelan officials: Rodolfo Marco Torres, Francisco Rangel Gomez, Fabio Zavarse Pabón and Gerardo Izquierdo Torres. " Everyone of them are all leaders in the military and now because of the sanctions are vertually penniless because a lot of their money is in US banks. No access. Hee Hee.
This creates pressure for the military to dump Maduro and make a deal with the US. If the leadership changes so that the opposition rules, then they can bring the country to cooperate with world US friendly economies to make Vz great again.
In so doing the IMF would come in and set up a new economic structure to pay all outstanding debts and start fresh. They have the natural resourses to come out of this (Without China and Russia) if managed properly. Including paying off Crystallex.
How's that fantasy sound everyone? Some truth to it methinks.
