They have $10B in gold reserves left and dwindling. Probably from here if they want protection from default.

Problem with Vz now is if they want any imports like food and stuff, no more credit. Pay up front or no delivery so Gold reserves is at risk.

What about IMF as a source. I think all outstanding debts must be paid with IMF funds too, for a clean slate before IMF will have a look. Good for us if this happens.
