Protests jump 278% in the first half of 2014

PROTESTS IN VENEZUELA. As many as 6,369 protests, equivalent to 35 a day, were registered nationwide in Venezuela in the first half of 2014, showing a 278% increase compared with the same period of 2013, when 1,687 protests were recorded, the most recent report presented by the Venezuelan Observatory of Social Conflict (OVCS) reveals.
