The Minister of Petroleum and Mines Rafael Ramirez Wednesday Floor Caratal toured in CVG Minerven south of Bolivar State.

The secretary general of the Union of Revolutionary Workers Union Industry Gold, Diamond, Coalin, Quartz and Allied (Sutriodics) Exavier Alexander, said the head of the Economy Ministry arrived at the heliport at noon and in the afternoon was in the dining room of the mine, workshops and the processing plant.

His visit fell workers by surprise, from a year ago, have denounced the invasion and dismantling of each of the plants in the state.

In several statements, workers have warned of the presence of armed groups in the mining industry and requested the intervention of the state.

So yesterday the assembly served catharsis staff gold after which the Minister announced the appointment of the president of the mining company, José Ávila, as head of a new audit, Alexander said.

Of the five processing plants that now make Minerven, only two are operating; memory in 2013 and has confirmed that the state produced 1.6 tonnes of gold from 10 after the nationalization, would be able to melt.

The untapped market for Minerven, about 8 tons of gold have been useful for thousands of men and women from all parts of the country attracted by the gold rush; a metal which, judging by the figures of the Central Bank of Venezuela, does not stay in the country.

According to the latest official data, the contribution of the mining sector to gross domestic product fell 21 percent in 2013.
