In casual use, opinion can be based on one's belief. Many with strong belief, consider their belief their truth - as they see it. Makes sense that factual support should accompany claims of truth, but how much substantiation is really necessary? Depending on the person, there might never be enough substantiation, because their own opinion is the truth to them. Alternatively, just, "because they say so," passes. EZ is not the first (sure to not be the last) to submit prose on a message board hub, on which posting implies opinion. But, if he is satisfied, it is the truth to him. So, respect the person and argue the opinion. Whether or not there are grandious statements usually doesn't seem to matter, because people will react whichever way, depending on their own personal opinion/truth. We see this here often in the posting reactions, some civil and others not so civil.
