Venezuela binds its development to China

Venezuela's mineral wealth will be developed by Chinese. The Citic group is to outline, together with Pdvsa, a mining map; concomitantly, it will work on the engineering and carry out a feasibility study for a gold project in Las Cristinas.

For this project, a USD 691 million funding from Citic and China's Development Bank on behalf of Venezuela has been envisaged.
