Union representatives on Monday rejected participation in a meeting with management officials SEBIN and public prosecutor, since it considered "intimidating" and contrary to the negotiation.

CVG Minerven workers attended a meeting called by the president of the state, Franqui Skates, Monday afternoon. However, the meeting was not any agreement by the presence of a public prosecutor and the Bolivarian Intelligence Service.

The worker Enoc Perez said that under these conditions would not accept any agreement, considering that the meeting was organized to "intimidate" the leadership and charge to participants of the protest that is 20 days in the gold state.

The miners are asking the state intervenes Executive whose production rates are the lowest in its history, in addition to this call for dismissal of the management train.http://www.correodelcaroni.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=232794:fracaso-reunion-con-presidente-de-minerven&catid=75:laboral&Itemid=114

Damian Prat in his column Public & Confidential deals with the conflict it has completely paralyzed state mining.

Minerven: 20 days in conflict
but without government that nothing hurts

Does the government plays to destroy both Minerven, to "justify" deliver to Russian multinationals? Or is it that as a government as anti-worker, your most important aim is to destroy the will to fight of the workers and their organizations regardless of whether in that ruin way more than what they have already done Minerven? Or is that "revolution" is so lazy with the interest of the country that they "give a damn" the fate of our gold industry? What I can explain is that after 20 days of protest and conflict, silence and indifference of Maduro, Ramirez and his government do not reach the point of "lift a finger" to dialogue and find solutions?

The facts are the facts, beyond conjecture. Minerven, like almost all state enterprises in Guyana and throughout Venezuela is devastated and ruined. Until the end of 2012 I had lost 65% of its production capacity. And in 2013, the crisis deepened at least 25% more than it was. The government took over the mines that were handled by the Russians and now they are worse. Industrial safety is on the floor. Equipment and facilities damaged, flooded mines. And all this when the gold price in the world market has been between 1,300 and 1,800 dollars an ounce 31 grams. Colossal missed opportunity. So much to talk about homeland! From "lip service". We never had less country than today.

Workers, tired of so much neglect and violation of their rights so conflicted 20 days ago. Minister Ramírez, head of the industry since the 8413 decree unhappy, has never been to Callao or submit to any vice. Mature or devotes a word. Do not lose sleep. Nothing. They say that last night there was a meeting of the president of the union of the company that are not in conflict, but even so there was some agreement.http://www.correodelcaroni.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=232788:publico-a-confidencialdamian-prat-c&catid=72:columnistas&Itemid=107
