This stock represents the major part of my portfolio, because of greed than having to average down out of necessity. My fault & I blame no one for my predictament. I am just relieved that I have a wife & a family that still honour & respect me.
When I first got involved with Crystallex, Chavez was a bit of a hero standing up to western imperialism & multi-national corporations that funded rape, murder and immoral acts of brutality throughout South America (google John Perkins who wrote a book entitled " I Was An Economic Hitman" - also a series of 5 UTube video's).
I think that Chavez had good intentions to help his people until his ego got in the way. Hugo wouldn't have so much popular support if the living conditions for the general population of Venezuela wasn't improving. Nationalizing foreign-owned companies, who gained control of whatever they wanted in the past, through graft, ignorance of others, fear-mongering and superior political influence, can be somewhat justifiable based on the individual situation, IMHO. However, I think that he should have treated innocent shareholders more fairly but I think that he sees us as the rich profiting from the misery of others, not considering the risks & lifetime of hard work it took to have enough to try to provide a legacy for our families. His on/off switch on the Crytallex project has created havoc with shareholders' decision-making. I just hope when the time comes, we get a swift & fair settlement.
Hugo, I bear you no malice.
