Puerto Ordaz. - Accompanied by union leaders that oppose the ideals and policies of President Hugo Chavez, coordinator of mining municipalities in southern Bolivar state Armando Betancourt, refused delivery of the Las Cristinas mine to the Chinese.
In this regard stated that the Venezuelan government has been mortgaging natural resources, a situation that has sown discontent in the mining town, especially in the southern municipalities of this federal entity. He referred to the case of Venrusca mining company, which is in deplorable condition even though it was created by the current government. He emphasized Minerven whose production fell considerably, as currently produce 13 kilos of gold per month when the goal in previous years amounted to 400 kilos.
