Is Hugo suggesting that he is fit to govern Venezuela???
Come on Hugo, the Ven opposition can't be worse than the US Congress. With all it's flaws, even the US Congress can govern better than you, Mr. Chavez.
Full Disclosure: I am a US citizen and proud to be one. That being said, I sure wish I could register to vote in all 50 states just so I could vote ALL of the incompetent incumbents (regardless of party) in Washington DC out of office. A bunch of 2-year olds would be more productive IMO.
Ok. I'm done venting now. The article is below...

Caracas, Aug 20 (Prensa Latina) Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez insisted on Saturday that the opposition is "absolutely" unfit to govern this country again.
Through his column Notas de Retaguardia published in the local newspaper El Correo del Orinoco, Chavez stressed the need for the people and government to be deployed throughout the country to address the stance of the opponents to the developing social transformations.
According to Chavez, the people represent the will to live as a nation, contary to their rivals, who show their yearning for power, what he called the non-country, non-Venezuela.
Chavez said that this position was evident in the field of international reserves and gold, which the government protects to prevent severe impacts caused by the economic crisis of capitalism.
The same applies to the oil issue and the Orinoco Belt, with the armed forces, international relations and strategic alliances, said Chavez in his article.
Chavez called for the deployment of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, which is in the process of organizing its branches, and congratulated the members of the government for their work with the people.
The Venezuelan president said that according to the results of medical examinations this morning, the values are normal and his body is positively assimilating the post-chemotherapy treatment.

Hopefully, for the sake of the Venezuelan people, the last paragraph is another one of Hugo's lies. :)
