Venezuela plans to transfer billions of dollars in cash reserves from abroad to banks in Russia, China, and Brazil and tons of gold from European banks to its central bank vaults.............

This is just the next move in the chess match...........imo.

You know Chavez and the Vennie Govt is just doing what our leaders would do faced with the same situation. A few days ago was the 40th annaverary of R Nixon removing the Dollar from the gold standard to avoid handing gold to England and France, as an example.

Chavez's plan seems to be modeled on the Cuba plan. Castro did not care if he was admonished by the USA or the west, he still found friends to trade with.

Chavez is alligned with Russia, China and now Brazil. Ven does not need the west.

I think this move is going to happen. If the US or the west moves to sieze his assets to be held until the ISCID cases settle, Chavez will cry foul and much of what he has been saying about the West will look factual.

The real questions are: If we get financing. If we win. Then, do we get re-inbursed?
