OTC opened with 78k volume moving and knocking down sp. Someone didn't get the 100k memo in yesterday's extended trading. Anyway, MM's now have a lot of ground to make up. Spread needs to be smaller to get some interest and that makes it tough for MM's. Yesterday's trading appeared to be controlled selling, but time will tell.
S&P and Dow both down. Overnight, Asia mixed and Eorope down. Middle east tensions still high, housing sales still rough with already 6M in shadow inventory along with Option ARM and Alt-A loans recasting might yet become an issue. Many commodities are way up year over year in case you are wondering why your paycheck does not go as far as it used to. Oils up (?) and gas down. Be selective in stock choices, as it is rough out there.
Gold Silver Copper all down at this time. Gold faded overnight but seeing some luv at NYMEX open. GLD may be good until gold hits $2k, and SLV good until Silver hits about $55-60 according to some. May take a while on both, but could be a couple of the few decent buy-and-holds out there. Again, it's a rough Market.
Happy Hump Day!
