Over economic resources, Mendoza said that what they receive is invested in social development. Photo José Leal Based on the argument of attention to mining and consolidation of social work, the new president of the Mission Piar, Damaso Mendoza announced the relaunching of this instance.

Schools, clinics, soup kitchens, streets are some of the commitments that Mendoza-recently appointed by the Ministry of Basic Industries and Mining (Mibam) said they will be strengthened, partly thanks to the involvement of community councils.

Accompanied by Members of the Legislative Council of the state of Bolivar, Guillermo Medina and Norkis Diaz and Jesus Ortega, a member of the regional United Socialist Party of Venezuela, Mendoza acknowledged the support that the holder of Mibam, José "Chino" Khan has always had for the Mission Piar.

Khan ranked as a "very concerned" about them, meeting with the miners.

"The state does provide an effective response," said Mendoza.

The new president of the Mission Piar announced it will begin a census in the mining town as well so keep better control of the sector, avoiding the secrecy of those who until now have had.

When asked about what kind of momentum will Piar Mission, considering that one of its members and miners' leader, William Saud, he opened a trial for protesting against irregularities in the contract between Crystallex and the CVG, Rep. Diaz reiterated that Prosecutors charged the crime to go against the law.

He said the government did not penalize the protest of Saud, and that behind this case was politically motivated "looking set traps" to the revolution.

Alfredo Villanueva, miners' leader, expressed his appreciation and support for Mendoza, mostly because he believes that this designation is "open doors to small miners." Therefore invited the new President to reorganize the Mission Piar, "because there are many things to improve. Must see and act. " (LSM)
