It also stated that it is evaluating a proposal to "mount a China-Venezuelan factory to produce our own machinery. "
Example after example of Chinese-Venezuelan agreements. Farming, steel production, manufacturing, etc., etc......yet Chinese involvement in the development of Las Cristinas originally embraced...then rejected. Seems like what they say is true..it takes two, not three to tango (in Venezuela anyway). The question is whether China can offer KRY a palatable enough offer for management to submit a buyout proposal to shareholders for consideration in light of the profit-killing terms of mining in Venezuela. There are alot of variables that go into this risk-reward calculation. Even if Las Brisas is "the spoiler" in this situation, it is not beyond the realm of possibility that KRY could reach an agreement while GRZ continues to pursue arbitration. Arguably, a relatively low KRY buyout figure would reduce Venezuelan exposure to any GRZ arbitration award.
