Chavez asked for 10 percent of the homes through an agreement with Iran, Belarus, Portugal and Uruguay. Raimundo Rubio Photo Organizations Provivienda approached the headquarters of the Corporación Venezolana de Guayana (CVG) on Alta Vista for "strongly request" changes in the agreement they signed with the state 11 years ago. Invasions, trade with housing needs, inability to borrow money from banks and lack of authorization to occupy the land, they argue for wanting to amend sections 3 and 5 in the sales documents protocol.

Explained that the agreement signed between the CVG and 12 500 families now calling for the amendment reads the words "award for sale." They allege that when they go to the bank for a loan to build their homes, the banks deny because this was not an "outright sale."

They add that the CVG is not granted occupancy permits because they have not built on the parcels they purchased. In addition to the investment of 200 square meters, Libardo Fernandez says another of the expenses incurred, surveying, permits, excavation, architectural and urban projects.

A right to speak in the National Assembly, Invihábitat, Funvica, Housing Management, Ferrocasa, Inviobras and Inavi are the institutions who have come for assistance. "They do not care or are concerned" they say.

There are four communities that call for amending the convention: Parque Canaima (UD-330), Villa Upata (UD-327), I and II stages of the UD-339, Crown Spray Coral City. (LSM)
