Corporacion Venezolana de Guayana (CVG) up today at age 50 ratifying the commitment to sustainable development and humanist of the Guayana region and the country through the promotion of a new model of development towards the transition to socialism Bolivarian allowing Venezuelans to achieve the supreme happiness. During 2010, IFC emphasized strengthening relations with the community and workers, promoting the consolidation of popular power, aware of the challenge that has as an institution to generate the changes promoted by the Bolivarian Government a just and sovereign.

CVG president, José Khan, said the new geometry of power strengthens the Corporation as regional development agency, with the formation of the Districts motors and the adoption and enactment of the Organic Law of the Federal Government, which provides, inter alia, the creation of the Technical Office of the South, which will be under the coordination of CVG.
Khan said that of the 30 Districts Motors created, 10 of them are located in the Guayana Development Zone, and on instructions from President Citizen, 11 districts will be developed in a first phase and five of them are located in the area action of the institution (Caicara-Cabruta, Guyana, Tucupita-Delta, Cuyuni, Santa Elena, Ikabarú-Brazil).
For this reason, the socio-territorial structure defined in the National Simon Bolivar Project requires sustained and coherent governance, giving relevance to inter-institutional relations in the region.
"CVG, as regional development agency and is strengthened in this new geometry of power projects promoted economic, social, scientific and technological, which guarantee the integral development of the region with a geo-strategic vision in terms of achieving a new economic-productive system , diversified and integrated functional and geographically, "said Khan.
CVG president added that the Federal Government Council further strengthens the Republic, uniting the country, with a strategic and sustainable, which will strengthen and utilize the skills and potential of the regions.
"The South Regional Technical Office, which includes the states of Amazonas, Bolivar and Delta Amacuro, is attached to the Federal Council of Government and under the responsibility of CVG, which implies a real participation and coordination of all regional political entities of the region , regarding the formulation and approval of projects to benefit economic growth, sustainable and social development in the region, "said Khan.

For a new model

According to the legal framework, the Federal Council of Government will establish guidelines that will guide the planning and coordination in land use and transfer of powers and duties of local authorities to grassroots organizations of popular power, they understood as community councils, communes, technical working groups and any other organization of popular power base. Promote the development

In line with the strategic guidelines of the Bolivarian government, Khan stressed that the Venezuelan Guayana Corporation will continue to promote the development of an alternative economy based on new social relations of production, coupled with innovative forms of ownership of the means of production.
To do CVG strengthens its policy on economic, social, international, territorial, political, institutional, environmental and tourism, giving priority to harmonious and sustainable development based on economic diversification, respect for biodiversity and cultural diversity, building on human and social capital, natural resources and geostrategic location.
