I agree that it seems that almost everyone in government has there own agenda, when it comes to mining gold in VZ. I think it would be fair to say that none of their concerns are for the poor/destitute miners and families.

There is just too much focus, time, and money being spent on the political wrangling, which has a life of it's own. The actual economy and it's effect on the country is really not an issue with most

Venezuela is very much like rich family with old money. Everyone in the family is so spoiled with the knowledge that there has always been money to get them out of any situation. Even tho' things have changed, there is still lots of money stuck here and there to keep the powers that be in their delusion that all is well.

Venezuela just has never had to rely on anything but oil.

There is no doubt that 'Las Christinas' has taken on it own deaf ear entity, it's own 'failure ora', and so no one really expects it to happen down there. As we all know, the legend has it that the mine is cursed, and after time, an inept and corrupt government, and many many false starts, the 'curse factor' also takes on a life of it's own.

I don't think that there is any true meaningful focused movement that carries through with the energy necessary to see this happen.
