December 7 – Sinohydro Corporation, a hydropower engineering and construction corporation, won two contracts worth 2.1 billion yuan from the Venezuelan Agricultural and Land Department, reports 163.com, citing the company's website.

Sinohydro Corporation will be engaged in an irrigation project, the construction of an industrial park for the processing of agricultural products and the building of a shipyard.

In addition, Sinohydro Coporation signed another contract to build an agricultural ecological park in Venezuela.

Shares of Sichuan Minjiang Hydropower (600131), its competitor, slid 0.39 percent to trade at 7.58 yuan at 13:04 today.
