New semi-industrial slaughterhouse shall ensure that meat to municipalities south of Bolívar Ciudad Bolivar, 02 Nov. AVN-Implementation of the project for the construction of the Semi-Industrial slaughterhouse of municipalities in municipality Roscius of Bolívar, State guarantee supply of meat at low cost to the municipalities of South of this entity, currently dependent on gold mining.

Thus informed Roscius the mayor José Alejandro Martínez, who explained that land for this work, which will have an investment of 5 million strong BS, contributed by the municipality and by the Venezuelan Government on the Fund compensation interterritorial movements will start in December.

Martinez explained that currently Roscius, Sifontes and El Callao municipalities comprise a triangle of large mining with significant gold national and foreign companies engaged in the extraction and processing of gold.

"This has caused a great impact economic and large part of our people in productive age is incorporated some gold as Rusoro Mining, Ferrocasa, PMG Venrus, among other companies", he added.

However, emphasized that the real Roscio municipality vocation is agricultural production and livestock, so his Office manages several projects for rededication this sector, as it is the case of municipalities Semi-Industrial slaughterhouse.

"Now our flocks supplying meat to Roscius and El Callao in its entirety, as well as partially Sifontes, but with this slaughterhouse that we can ensure coverage of the current demand and all that is generated from the population movement that we look for announcements of the President of the Republic, Hugo Chávez Frías, new investment in the mining industry in our region," he stressed.

Among these investments, especially mentioned in municipality Sifontes, on which the Chairman reiterated that it will be managed entirely by the Venezuelan Government after several years in the hands of a transnational Canadian Las Cristinas gold project.

"Slaughter be able to process up to 300 cattle per day, ensuring meat requiring the population of the three municipalities and serving as basis for a tanning of processed furs and other by-products of the slaughter industry", quipped.

Also highlighted this installation may be slaughtered and processed pig, thereby breaking the dependency you have today from the center of the country.

"We are committed to the struggle for food sovereignty, has promoted President Chávez and this happens by producing and processing more and better food," he noted.

Likewise, Mayor Martinez explained that the municipality currently operates a Socialist character company responsible for providing services of weed and destroncado small farmers who do not have tractors and other agricultural machinery.

"This is a service we do according to help them prepare their lands between crops and thus increase the production of food items needing the population", explained.

He stressed that machinery, acquired by the City Hall with its own resources, are predominantly manufactured by assembling VenIran Tractor, opened in 2005 in Ciudad Bolívar, Bolívar State thanks to a cooperation agreement signed between the Venezuela Bolivarian Republic and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
