President Hugo Chavez of Venezuela is arriving in Moscow on Thursday.

This will be his ninth visit to the Russian capital.

On Friday he will meet with President Dmitry Medvedev to discuss economic cooperation, including large-scale joint projects in the energy and mining industries, investment, and military-technical cooperation, a Kremlin official has told reporters.
