Medvedev discusses bilateral ties by phone with Venezuela leader

MOSCOW, October 8 (Itar-Tass) -- Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez will pay a visit to Russia on October 14-15.

“Russian President Dmitry Medvedev had a telephone conversation with his Venezuelan counterpart Hugo Chavez on Venezuela’s initiative,” the Kremlin press service reported on Friday. “The two presidents discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation in view of a Russian visit of the Venezuelan president on October 14-15,” the press service reported.
