The town requires of more mining and tourist projects to rise
The Sifontes municipality, located to the south of the state Bolivar, is being whipped by the phenomenon of the insecurity, but with more intensity since the Caura Plan - implemented from April of this year it evacuated to thousands of miners of deposits in the Manteco and the Caura Stop.

Oscar Speck, representative of tourism in the locality and recognized industralist, explained that “Tumeremo has become white like never from the insecurity that galopa, for that reason we make a call to the authorities so that they do something and they organize the Gilded one, the 88 Kilometer and the Claritas, that are the affected sectors more”.

Combined to this problem the tourism in the locality he lowered a 50 percent, in relation to previous years. “All the towns of the south were themselves affected, now we are only hoping to that it initiates the drip jar by the vacations of Brazilian in the months of November and the December” so that is a recovery.

The intensity of precipitations and the loss of the spending power of the Venezuelan, are the main causes of the bassoon of the recreational activity towards the towns of the south, combined to the problems with the fuel provision as a result of the announcement of the unavoidable acquisition of the stations on watch.

As far as the affectation of rains, days it has in the last not rained in the municipality reason why there are no damages what to be sorry. “When they began rains yes we had problems, but already the situation has been standardized. We have like 5 days that do not rain and have not registered inconvenient”.

Optimism to the front
Speck notices that in spite of the adversities in Sifontes there are great expectations before the possibility that a tourist project is carried out that promises an exit to the Atlantic Ocean from Tumeremo, that would allow to stimulate the activity and to catch more visitors from Brazil and of the states that have difficult access to the sea.

“We are optimistic, are many things that can be done and in that aspect we have many projects, things that to take shape would drive to Tumeremo in the tourism and the mining for the generation of important capitals, we have whereupon”, the leader stood out.

Future plans

Everything is not bad in the Sifontes municipality. The possibility of the mining opening with the inauguration of the incline Simon Bolivar and the beginning of other projects in the zone, could give back the joy to the villagers.

“We have great perspective with the mining, for more than 100 years we have been miners and we do not have why to stop being it being important projects of expansion like the one of Rusoro Mining that bring ambitious possibilities. Besides this Venrus - the mixed miner will abrirá an office in Tumeremo, something that contents to us”, expressed Oscar Speck.

Of equal way she indicated that the Caura Plan has not been applied in the municipality, by the pressure exerted by the unions and miners. “Here they are not going to come to remove to the people like in the Manteco, if they are going to have evacuations must prepare the miners, to give zones them of legal operation, to look for a sustenance to them, they must be other conditions”.
