The Ministry of People's Power for Basic Industries and Mining (Mibam) served as the headquarters for a new national mining cabinet meeting, a body that advances a Master Plan for tracking the chain of production, extraction and marketing of metal ores and non-metallic, with the collaboration of several government agencies.




The meeting was chaired by Vice Minister of Mines, Iván Hernández, and representatives of the Corporación Venezolana de Guayana, CVG Minerven, CVG Tecmin, Ingeominas, Mission Piar, Ward Mining and National Mining Company, among others.

"Addressing the causes to address the effects," Deputy Hernandez and summarized the objective of this plan by the national government as a way to bring dignity to workers in this production chain and make this item an additional source to oil revenues .

In this regard, the deputy minister said that "we are going to the profound transformation of the mining model, under a scheme that provides social, economic, productive and territorial as a whole, where the human being is the center, that is the path that has paved the President Hugo Chavez and we went over there. "


Among the actions that were established in the short term highlighted the revision of policies on social issues ahead of the State in the Guayana region. To this end, it was suggested a meeting with stakeholders to address the needs of the mining population in order to integrate them into the Master Plan and enhance benefits to the effort.


In this sense, the next meeting was scheduled in Bolivar state, to comply with the safeguarding of our sovereignty production in the mining area and deepen the relationship with the real players in this transformation.
