The spokesman of former gold workers , reported that next Monday will hold a
meeting with the Vice President to finalize all matters concerning the payment
for several years driven conversion

Ciudad Bolívar .- During a meeting held yesterday morning outside the
headquarters of the Ministry of Environment in the regional capital , the chief
spokesman of the miners in Bolivar State, Alfredo Villanueva, announced that
next week possibly crystallize the cancellation of the commitments made by the
national government for this sector during the conversion process .

In that notice , which was present a coarse representation of the former workers
gold , Villanueva announced that next Monday there will be a meeting between
representatives of regional mining the Vice President , Elias Jaua , at the
headquarters of the Palace Miraflores , in order to finalize details for the
cancellation of this claim , as well as the delivery of socio- productive loans
.

" Since President Chavez announced that the cash payment would be made for the
mining sector , we knew for a fact in reality we are grateful for the efforts
made by Governor Rangel Gomez and the Minister of Mibam for once and for all
crystallize payment to the mining town and make social justice , "said
Villanueva.

He stated that the meeting with the senior official of the National Executive ,
will be representing the miners from El Callao , La Paragua and all areas of
business which followed the call to join the Mining conversion process , which
seeks to insert these people in other productive areas that do not conflict with
the environment.

The spokesman added that this payment will benefit about 4,500 miners , whom
they have not been canceled the payment for the commitments of the conversion.
"We were waiting for responses from two years ago when it canceled half of these
commitments, but now we see that we are providing satisfactory answers , "

According to Alfredo Villanueva, the resources to pay the miners included in the
conversion project had been approved several times , but " there was corruption

contribute in preserving the environment. Finally he said they feel vindicated

their rights before the law , which in his view never before .

The Bolivar State mining leader , Alfredo Villanueva said that miners and mining
have always been identified with the revolutionary process led by President Hugo
Chávez and although not link the struggle of the miners with politics, say they
support candidates United Socialist Party of Venezuela in the parliamentary
elections on 26 September.
