unfortunately, most americans dont even know what the glas-steagall act was..even the ones who were alive when it was enacted...

i tried interjecting with that information between two guys arguing about bush/obama at my favorite watering hole a couple months ago....i was quickly informed that the reason for the US economic collapse was due to "socialism and immigrants" by the anti-obama guy and "senseless oil wars" by the anti-bush guy.....

that's when i pretty much decided not to try and fight fox news or cnn....
