It became operational Environmental Assessment Technical Committee

In order to expedite the approval process for development projects with the Ministry of Popular Power for the Environment (Minamb), basic business supervised by the Corporacion Venezolana de Guayana, met for the first time in the Technical Evaluation Committee Environmental installed last week between CVG and Minamb.




Jose Parada, manager CVG Environmental Management, addressed the meeting which brought together representatives of the units of Environment and Technological Adaptation: Sidor, CVG Alcasa, CVG Bauxilum, CVG Carbonorca, Ferrominera Orinoco CVG, CVG Minerven and Headquarters. Who reviewed the current conditions of the projects in the field, ahead of companies, this among other topics discussed at the meeting.



The first item on the agenda representatives clarified doubts and expressed their concerns about the functioning of the Technical Committee, and informed them that due in this instance all projects that require companies.



"No course will be given to projects that are raised to Minamb in isolation, because the goal is to correct the overlap and nourished by the experience of all in this respect, there will be in this area that will be processed for project approvals specific schedules for suitability and other inquiries environmental competence, "said Parada.



He then went on to analyze what is referred to the reactivation of the Network for Monitoring Air Quality, explaining that it has been set up in part, by conducting monthly sampling and accumulation of data that is available to the Minamb and businesses.



"For this we have the support of CVG and CVG FMO Bauxilum, which allowed a training run and operate five of the 10 units of measurement are available, however more support is required for sampling, Parada said.



Finally, the participants reviewed the proposals of the Draft Integrated Management of Industrial Waste Permit Application and elevated to Minamb by core business, which will be reviewed and included in the agenda for discussion at the Technical Bureau of Environmental Assessment optimizing the processes, making them more expeditious and efficient evaluation.
