Caura Plan Evacuees receive government aid

Ciudad Bolívar .- The approval of Bs 800 million strong for the attention of the miners evicted from the Caura Plan and the granting of more than 80 hectares for the legal exploitation of mining in the state, were some of the announcements made yesterday by Alfredo Villanueva, after meeting with Minister Jose Khan and he exercised his right to speak before the National Assembly.
Alfredo Villanueva said that these achievements are the result of hard work by representatives of various sectors involved in the conversion process and the apparent disposition of the current authorities of the Ministry of Basic Industries and Mining (Mibam), with which could eventually meet the sake of finding lasting solutions to this problem of social, in the short term.

First agreements

Hence, continued the witness saying that among the agreements reached during a meeting of Minister Jose Khan to the spokesmen of the various mining sectors affected by the entity, which was accomplished, not only to accommodate their fellow evacuees in the Caura Plan I, the government support measures, specifically the allocation of Bs 800 million strong, they said will be delivered by the concept of micro credit in various fields.

This good news Villanueva added, should join them regarding the delivery of 88,000 hectares in parts of the entity, for the exercise of mining organized and supervised by competent authorities, as stated, since the days ahead will begin the process of formation of several cooperatives, which in turn shall consist of a total of 20 people, which will be instructed on the issue of reducing environmental impact.

Such achievements, | said the interviewee, would be supplemented later with the establishment of a branch of Banco Central de Venezuela, to receive the production of gold mined in the areas allowed, as well as the creation of a school of gold and a laboratory purification of this metal, which not only ensure the permanent control of this traditional activity, but instead create spaces for training, plus an obvious course of generating new jobs.
