Maybe it's as simple as, the BOD figured it (the deal) was far enough along to discuss it openly in the meeting and wanted the outline components digested by the shareholders when they do, so they could take it (the deal) through to the final steps.

Nothing sinister or alarming about that.

Right?

BTW: It seems to me that all stated dates in the "prelim" note that they can be extended if both parties agree on doing so. So dates are soft targets, not brick walls.
